I have two sides to my taste. I am scared that they cannot be combined. The first is that I love the humbler side of things. I love to draw and state the obvious and project innocence through my work. I don't like to take it too seriously. The other side of me loves the more precise things in life. I have a massive love for not so much the rawness of typography but obscure layouts. The thought of collecting things and laying them out nicely and getting paid for doing that is my dream. It is the same not just with objects but with clothes. As shallow as it sounds I love to look at what people are wearing-the nice aspects of it. I wish I had documented my outfits not even because I think they are nice (I don't)-just because I havn't worn the same outfit twice in nearly 4 years. I get annoyed at myself for not documenting this and it sillilylyiy puts me off starting too. I should and I should do it with other people too. This is where look books come in. Spying on what the best parts parts of what the company has to offer whilst looking at snippets of future trends are out there. I like forecasting new bees and I love documenting things in a nice way.
both of these things have something in common. Collecting, obscure and not taking the content too seriously. I am a massive absorber. I absorb a lot of things around me and find it really upsetting when I don't document everything properly.
I am desperate to set up a running blog alongside my normal work about documentation of things that inspire me-I could even focus it onto clothes.
This is the online Elle lookbook. It not as high up on my wish list as American Apparel but I love the way that it involves home life as well as clothes. It gives the finder alot more room to peck at things and collect more. The book itself is really beautifully made and laid out. Bit of a task getting onto something like this though. Is it to commercial?

WORRY MANIA
So today was the day of screen printing. I went down to vernon street to get the expertise guide of roger (plus Ive never printed up here so I need to be comfortable because what I am doing is scary incase I mess up). After some nice compliments of my wood I was then told I can't screen print until wednesday or thursday! PANIC STATIONS. Crit is on wednesday so I wont have the content I need for my boards.
AND
the pencils haven't arrived so I cant even get cracking on printing on to them and I don't have the dimensions to really crack on with the packaging.
However, I have found some really interesting stock-mirrored card. One side is matt white and the other is mirror. If this doesn't change the viewers perspective then who knows what will! However I then found out I couldn't follow through with my spot varnish plan as I cannot do this onto matt paper. So then I thought foil printing in black?! Then I was told that this isn't possible unless it has been printed through the lasers. Mirror card through the lasers.
WHAT TO DO
