\/INE DESIGN RHYMES.
Crosstitch is the way forward. I am currently in the process of making my own website as an official reference and have also set up a blog which I am taking a photograph of what I wear everyday, ugly as it may be-it is a good demonstration on how I want to interlink Grpahic Design and Fashion. As it stands it is only some old photographs but in the new year it will become part of my daily routine to document what I am wearing. Just a start, but you have to start somewhere right?
Yes, crosstitch is the way forward as I think it is a really nice inventive way of interlocking fashion with graphic desgin as I can type design all I want but through a 3-d fbric involved processed that I think descirbes me quite well as a process. I have bought some small crosstitch beds to make some business cards. I dont know how well it will go though-font size wise.
I am not afraid to get out there and email and phone and visit as many people as I can, I actually enjoy it in a way. The problem lies in what it is I am asking of them or about them once I HAVE CUAGHT THEIR INTEREST.. Once I know this I feel ready to do some favours and really work my socks hard to get under their belt and gain some trust and have my name out there. I intend to research into whoever it is I intend to try and 'woo' on mine and their behalf. whats the point in trying to work for someone you don;t really understand what happens in their business?
Worst comes to worse, I will bake them a cake in summer and a christmas card in winter and HAVE A PARTY.
What do they want to hear? They want to hear me saying "yes I will definitely work for free for you exclusively".
If I wanted and NEEDED it enough I would damn well do it. The problem with me is that I am very stubborn in my own ambitions. Once I find a company I will go and get it. However, this does cut off potentially great opportunities elsewhere. but to be honest. It would be what the company wants, to have absolute faith, drive and ambition in them and them only.
PESTPESTPEST
or in other terms, marketing mix.
I intend to communicate (pester) with them in every marketing strategy possible. From sending crosstitches to their desk to business birthday cards.
