Research Processes will include:
collection of relevant objects ranging from wardrobe to album art/flyers and mechanics.
Interviews to give both qualitative and quantitative information from both past and present day persons. Photographing evidence of such associates to document both style and proof of existence.
How will I research?
Primary methods: Person to person will give me opinions and facts both of the time and current day influences involved with mod culture. I will discover attitudes and different sides of the image. I hope to conduct a series of photographs to capture the essence of the culture as well as inflict my own opinion of what mod culture means.
Secondary Methods: This will include gathering of relevant objects and both online and in books films and existing photography to document my and others perceptions of the culture. I will study current day organisations which cater to the stereotyped groups, eg. musical events. I also hope to use my existing knowledge and past visits to clothing stores and personal contacts to contribute towards my research.
Who/Where will I research?
Personal contacts which will give me facts and opinions from a range of generations. I will also study stereotyped places where mod culture has been influenced by for example Brighton. This covers both primary and secondary sources.
